That's what we were hoping he could do when we got him. Tonight he had one of those games and we needed it.

You're told by the umpire that you're allowed to pitch inside. What does that do? You're allowed to pitch inside until we feel like in our minds that you're throwing at someone intentionally. How do you know when that is?
Zimmerman is not the savior here. Is it fair to the other people that have been here all year long to get us where we were then all of the sudden you put them down and put the kid out there?
Zach Day has good enough stuff to win at this level. He's shown flashes, but he hasn't put it together over a long period of time.
You've seen how ugly it's been and how desperate we needed to win a game. Hopefully, this will get us going.
You see that little look in their eye that's been missing for a while. It looks like the confidence level is back.
You show me that you can do things and perform well on the field, then I have confidence in you. Joey had performed very well for me over the years. So this is why he gets a longer leash. You get a little bit more leeway than someone that hasn't performed for you or someone that you don't know.
You shouldn't play like this at home. It's not acceptable.
You not going to win too many games if you can't keep the ball in ballpark. We are not doing a good job with that, either. It has to get better.
They didn't have anything to get rowdy about.

You don't want these kids to feel shattered because they don't come through with a base hit or make a play in a tight situation and feel like they've cost us an opportunity to do something.
You don't see too many get up that high. That was a tremendous play. When the ball was hit, I though it was a base hit.
