foul given good kept kids level limited stuff trouble
It's been good for us, kept us out of foul trouble, limited some other people's stuff with what they've been able to do in the post. It's given our kids a level of confidence.
wish
That's kind of the thing going into it. I'm not as comfortable with right now as I wish I would be.
defensive guys offense problems
It was just a struggle. Our problems on offense transferred to the defensive end and our guys got pretty frustrated.
along blew open second sports
They blew the thing open in the first half, and just kind of cruised along in the second half.
feeling good
It was important for us to kind of get the good feeling back.
style
It's a completely different style of play. It's a completely different prep.
playing trying
It's about playing better. We are just trying to get them to play better.
good zone
The zone has been pretty good for us. We'll try to see what we can do with it (tonight).
easier finally playing practice
This is very important for our confidence. We've been playing well, just not able to win, but we finally did and it should be a little easier to get them to practice on Monday.
against backs night wall
They're back on track. Our backs are against the wall every night out.
coaches confidence guys jump players situation wave
It's not a situation where we don't want to play guys -- guys have to give me confidence in them to put them in the game. I'm not a guy that can jump in there, wave a wand and say, 'OK, I give you confidence.' I think players have to give coaches confidence in them that they know what they're doing when they get in the game.
ball beat great performance seen shooting shot start team
They beat us from start to finish. It was a great performance shooting the basketball. I've never seen a team shoot the ball they way they shot it. It just wasn't one guy, it was everybody.
believe coach finally freshmen guys hard left loaded starting terms trying win
It was hard the first two years trying to get guys to believe we could win. Guys left who didn't believe we could win or didn't want to win. We're a very young team. We're loaded with freshmen and sophomores in terms of numbers, but I think we're finally starting to coach and put some things together.
critical good happen needed run shots
For 35 minutes, we were in good shape. We made a very good run at this thing, but it just didn't happen for us. ... We had our opportunities but didn't make some critical shots when we needed to.
