bit bring change figure guard maybe
They're very big, and we can't change that, so we've got to figure out what we need to do to try to play the other end of it. We'll try to bring our posts away from the basket, make them guard on the perimeter maybe a little bit more than they're used to.
against ball beaten guys hard post work zone
It's hard to get post guys the ball against the zone sometimes. For us, that's all we've been playing. We try to work on it pretty hard. Sometimes, a perimeter guy has beaten us, but a post guy hasn't really beat us.
kids nice validate win
It's a very important win for us. Our kids did a nice job. But it doesn't validate our season.
fought kids
It's a very important step. The kids have fought the whole way. It hasn't been easy.
days next trying
The next 6-7 days are about us trying to show improvement.
coming four guys illinois people pressure thousand three
There was no pressure on us; we're just coming down and playing. No one thought we could win, other than the 12 guys we've got and three or four coaches. There were 16 thousand people who thought Illinois would win.
coming joy kids resilient tears
There were a lot of tears tears of joy finally, not of sadness. These kids have been through a lot, but they keep coming back for more. They've been very resilient all year.
After the first half, I thought we were still OK. But we never could make any shots.
defense easy lead
There's no defense for turnovers in the backcourt that lead to easy baskets.
guys realize slip trying
The thing I'm trying to get these guys to realize is that we've had some opportunities that we really let slip by.
coach felt gut
Sometimes as a coach, you get a gut feeling. I really never felt like we were out of things.
critical experience plays
Sometimes experience plays a critical part in this game.
guy inside obviously rugged tough
He's obviously a very rugged and tough inside guy who can score.
bad games shooting win
You're not going to win many games shooting 25 percent. I thought offensively we were just really bad tonight.
