ball pitch pitching talking wants winter
I still don't think that he'll pitch for us. I know he wants to but ... he's talking about pitching winter ball and we're going to talk about that, too.
arm dropped great individual keeps last position slot talked tough year
The thing I look at most is the individual pitchers. And I thought Bautista's arm slot was in a great position. It's something we've talked about earlier. Last year his arm slot dropped a little bit, but his arm is in great position right now, and if he keeps it that way, it's going to be tough to keep him out of the rotation.
dugout seen shut talking
You should have seen Hansen and Zack talking in the dugout today, ... They never shut up.
beginning coming good seems talk
He seems to be doing better. He's beginning to talk about coming back. That's a good sign.
defense everybody outfield talking
I think everybody is talking about our infield (defense) being better, which it is. But our outfield defense is going to be better, too.
player talk
I can't tell you, because I need to talk to the player first. It's probably not going to be a surprise.
anybody best goes healthy help hurt lack means might needs next rest season sure winter
In his case, because of the lack of innings, I think it might help him. I don't think it will hurt him. If anybody needs winter ball, it would be him. We want to make sure he's healthy going into the season next year, too, so if that means rest after he goes through all this rehab, that could be the best way to go, too.
games knew
I knew it was over 100 games. We'd get close, but not over the hump.
learning
I like his stuff, but he's still learning how to pitch.
best biggest condition full paranoid pitch possible starting
I'm real paranoid about starting him now and without him being in the best possible condition to pitch a full season. That's my biggest concern. I don't know if he understands that or not.
lower
It's stiffness in his lower back, no big deal.
proper
No, and I don't want to again, either. I really don't think that's the proper thing to do.
good since start third
It was his third start and it wasn't very good today. But for the most part, since we got him back he's been pretty good.
again needed
Once again Scotty pitched well. We just couldn't get a big out when we needed it. We are just going through one of those spells.
