came far home production runs thanks
Then we came back, thanks to the home runs. We usually don't get that kind of production as far as home runs go.
mind negative record run start support thoughts
A lot of negative thoughts go through your mind when you start off like he did, without getting any run support and your record isn't what you want it to be,
anyway decided guy instructed move runs smarter throw
In that situation, with a basestealer on first and a guy that runs on third, with his move he was instructed not to throw to first. But he decided to anyway because he's smarter than I am.
anybody hitting less runners score seemed sixth third
Before that (the sixth inning), we had a lot of opportunities. We just couldn't get anything across. Actually we couldn't get anybody to third with less than two outs. It seemed like we were always hitting with runners on first and second. To score runs, you have to get opportunities with runners on third and less than two outs. We haven't been able to do that much.
regular run
If this was the regular season, he'd play. But I don't want it to run into the season.
battle home messed run score struggling uphill
I thought we were going to get out of the first with just one run. Payton's home run was big. That really messed up the day for us. Then when we're down 7-0 that's really an uphill battle for us. We're struggling to score one or two runs.
bit gives kid medicine run somebody
He's a kid that gives us energy. He's so likeable. He's somebody I like to run into every day. He's a bit of medicine for me.
focus four game nature running stop
When they got the four runs, we can't stop playing. We've got to keep playing. The nature of the game is to keep going. I didn't think the focus was there at the end after they got the four runs. That can't happen. I'm kind of running out of answers.
games great runs scoring start win
He was great the way he got out of it that inning. He's going to win a lot of games for us. We've just got to start scoring some runs for him.
funny mike running
He was running funny, but Mike has kind of a funny gait anyway. We don't think it's serious.
biggest facing five guy mainly pitching runs tough
We just weren't able to do anything mainly because he was pitching so well. The biggest part of the day was the five runs early. When you're facing a guy like that, it's a tough situation.
anybody best goes healthy help hurt lack means might needs next rest season sure winter
In his case, because of the lack of innings, I think it might help him. I don't think it will hurt him. If anybody needs winter ball, it would be him. We want to make sure he's healthy going into the season next year, too, so if that means rest after he goes through all this rehab, that could be the best way to go, too.
games knew
I knew it was over 100 games. We'd get close, but not over the hump.
learning
I like his stuff, but he's still learning how to pitch.
