attempt bit clearly rebound seeing trying
You are seeing a little bit of rebound in some of the worst-hit sectors. It's clearly a short-term attempt at trying to find some stabilizing level.
bad behind believe bush concern eventually forget friend future growth looking market nonsense overseas percent president russia terrorism trying versus
I believe that the future of McDonald's is going to be their international growth. Let's not forget what President Bush is trying to do in Russia. Russia eventually is going to have to be our friend versus all this nonsense terrorism that's going on in the world, ... So, does the overseas market concern me? It doesn't because they are looking to marginalize that growth of 1-to-2 percent and diversify at the same time. I think the bad things are behind it and I like the stock.
action earnings hard market narrow negotiate pick stable stronger today trend trying
Trying to pick a trend in this market is impossible. Friday's action was anemic, and today there's anticipation of a stronger earnings season. Other than short-term traders, it's hard to negotiate a market that is so narrow in range. We're at least stable for now, but there hasn't been a trend for over a month.
behind conviction fed impetus outcome people rally reason specific today trying
You do have some impetus today but there's little conviction and little volume. I didn't see any specific reason behind the rally - people may be just trying to outguess the outcome (of the Fed meeting).

corporate energy fourth front fully higher impact including market negatives prices quarter trying volatile
The fourth quarter is going to be volatile and trying. I don't think the market has fully discounted all the negatives in front of it, including the hurricanes' impact on the economy, higher energy prices on corporate profits, and higher inflation.

believe caught economic figure growth inflation investors market neutral range stocks
I'm neutral on the market here, as I believe stocks will be caught in a range as investors try to figure out the story of inflation and economic growth going forward.
carry retailers turned
The blue-chips just turned down. Regardless, the retailers were up but really not enough to carry the market.
bias buyers downward flow money optimistic pressure seems side
The bias still seems to be to the upside. Buyers are optimistic and see the long-term side of the market. The downward pressure now is not that great. The money flow has just been too strong.
bias portfolio quarter today tomorrow upside
The bias for today and tomorrow should still be to the upside because of the end of the quarter when you get portfolio adjustments.
data economic grace markets saving
The barrage of economic data will be the one saving grace for the markets this week,
good nbc numbers people rally realize retail sales saw selling
The retail sales numbers we saw should have presumed a rally but we had some selling in Hewlett-Packard and NBC Internet. During the day, people started to realize that retail sales were good news.
activity assume bond economic feeling further gives higher interest market people rates signs whether worry
There's worry about higher interest rates. The bond market has been very weak, and we can assume the higher interest rates are signs of a rebounding economy. This gives people a feeling of comfort, but we also worry about how rates are going to go and whether it will crimp economic activity further down the road.
