Render every thought into a flower worthy to be held in His Fingers; render every deed into a fruit, full of the sweet juice of Love fit to be placed in His Hand; render every tear holy and pure, fit to wash His Lotus Feet.
act assigned designed duty enjoys lord remember
Remember that the whole thing is just a play and the Lord has assigned to you a part; act well your part; there all your duty ends. He has designed the play and He enjoys it.
bless glance merciful please protect seek
Please protect me here and hereafter, O Lord, Merciful to the meek. I seek Your Sanctuary; please bless me with Your Glance of Grace.
bless forever grant please sacrifice
Please grant Your Grace, and bless me with Your Name; Nanak is forever a sacrifice to You.

Please, God, give me the Support of Your Hand; lift me up and pull me out of this pit, O Lord of the World.
clever dark deep lift lord please seek tricks
Please be kind and compassionate, O Lord of my life; I am helpless, and I seek Your Sanctuary, God. Please, give me Your Hand, and lift me up, out of the deep dark pit. I have no clever tricks at all.

People who pollute our mind with their impure and sinful thoughts must be kept in check.
brought burning lord peace siblings sins
Peace and tranquility have come; the Guru, the Lord of the Universe, has brought it. The burning sins have departed, O my Siblings of Destiny.
attach company good heed led lord men mind pay talents
Pay no heed to little worries; attach your mind to the Lord and then you will be led to the Company of good men and your talents will be transmuted.
animal crazy entangled green pleasures
Give them up - give up the pleasures of corruption; you are entangled in them, you crazy fool, like an animal grazing in the green fields.
