aggressive batting collapsing taller
He's a little taller (in his batting stance), a little more aggressive to the ball. He's not collapsing on his backside. His swing's more level.
watching
He's a keeper. We'll be watching him for years.
anybody far few given hard record starts track
His track record has been pretty good. Given a chance, he's been able to contribute. The hard part is it is so few and far between at-bats, and like anybody else, he starts pressing.
friday full ready session sharp side
He's going to need at least one full side session to get him sharp enough to pitch, so if that comes Friday or Saturday, he's not going to be ready for this weekend,
bright spot strong
He's a strong young man. Really, he was the only bright spot offensively.
count deeper game hopefully limited next pitch time
Hopefully we can get his pitch count up so he can go deeper into the game the next time out. He'll be limited the first time out, though. We can't let him go 100 pitches.
missing pitch
When they get a pitch to hit, ... they're not missing it.
guys
Our big guys and little guys have to be better than that,
jeremy physically wrong
Physically I didn't see anything wrong with him, ... but I think right now Jeremy is overthrowing.
credit except guys honest job seem supposed worse
I give those guys credit over there, ... They have a worse record. They're battling. And that's what we should be doing, to be honest with you. That's the kind of way you're supposed to play. At this point, they have nothing to play for except for what you're supposed to play for: It's another game. That's the job, and they seem to be doing a better job of it than we are right now.
comments stir
If those comments stir things up a little bit, that's OK, because we're all accountable,
thrown
If someone is going to get thrown out, it should be the manager.
nice rewarded
He's pitched some very nice ballgames. For him to be rewarded with a W, that's nice.
holding wants
He wants to play, ... We're probably the ones who have been holding him back a little bit, but we have to.
