eight games hoping momentum performance seven
We've been pounded in seven games out of eight -- that's long. I was hoping we could piggyback yesterday's performance and get us a little momentum going.
We don't need someone not to say something. We need input.
battle question supposed tough
When you go through these tough times, you're supposed to be able to battle through it, ... I question some of the battling.
close played
We played a lot of close games, but when things aren't going well, you find a way to lose,
bother finish message
We're not getting it done, ... I'm not getting the message across, for some reason. For us to finish like this, it really does bother me.
games refuse
We still have 26 games to go. I refuse to give in.
certainly fact good until
We battled. We didn't give up. As we say, we still lost, but I feel good about the fact that we certainly battled right until the end.
ball guys percent running
To Brandon's credit, he was running hard. You often see guys going 60 percent on a ball like that, and they don't score.
root whether
Whether I'm there or not, I'll always be a Tiger, and I'll always root for the Tigers.
next sure wait
We're not sure if he'll (Bonderman) be able to make his next start. We'll have to wait and see.
credit except guys honest job seem supposed worse
I give those guys credit over there, ... They have a worse record. They're battling. And that's what we should be doing, to be honest with you. That's the kind of way you're supposed to play. At this point, they have nothing to play for except for what you're supposed to play for: It's another game. That's the job, and they seem to be doing a better job of it than we are right now.
comments stir
If those comments stir things up a little bit, that's OK, because we're all accountable,
thrown
If someone is going to get thrown out, it should be the manager.
ask given run
We haven't given him a whole lot of run support. He's doing his job, I'll tell you. I can't ask for any more than the way he's pitched.
