against crucial good hard struggling team win
We had crucial breakdowns against a good team and that is not going to work. It's hard to win when you are making mistakes. Sometimes you can get away with mistakes, but we're struggling right now.
beat effort
We were getting beat one-on-one. You've got to do your job. We didn't do our jobs. The effort just wasn't there.
angle ninth seems separate
From every angle that you look at it, it was important. You want to separate from ninth place as much as possible. It seems like everyone is winning, so we need points.
committed defensive side
I don't think we were committed as much to the defensive side as we would have liked. That's why we lost.
care game hockey maybe penalties watching win
I don't care if you were watching your first hockey game ? you could tell they were way better than us. If you take as many penalties as we did, you're not going to win many games, maybe one out of every 10.
below changes league points taken teams
But there are other teams that should be better, too, because of all the changes that have taken place. You look at the league right now and to be honest, I couldn't tell you who's going to be over 100 points or who would be below 80 points.
decided liked
I would have liked to have had it, but it wasn't the one play that decided the game.
best czech elite everybody grew guy high home league national played respect several standard watching
I grew up watching Dominik Hasek. Back home he played several years in the Czech Elite League and was the No. 1 guy on our national team. He was really the first Czech goalie to come over to the NHL and do well. He set the standard so high for everybody else, it's unbelievable. I have a lot of respect for him because he's been one of the best if not the best goalie to ever play the game.
possible worst
I don't feel any pressure. I don't think this has got anything to do with pressure. Sometimes you just play really well, and then get in a slump. Now is the worst possible timing.
dominated easy foolish grind picking reason start until
I don't know what the reason is, but we've been getting dominated here lately. This is the NHL, and we're foolish if we thought we were going to start picking up easy wins. It's going to be a grind all the way until the end of the season.
hate hates
Obviously, I hate shootouts. Every goalie hates it.
fun tough
Shootouts are fun if you win, but tough if you lose.
basically game knife obviously
Obviously you don't want to play the game from behind, but we basically had the knife to our throat.
difference good maybe plays power shots stuff
Maybe there are going to be more shots because of power plays and stuff like that, ... It's a good thing. The more shots you get, the more difference you can make.
