again dry feet hang keeps lazy looking move moving players puck rules zone
We have to keep looking at players over and over again because you can't hang someone out to dry if they're called for a penalty, with so many new rules to learn. One thing we are really looking for is players who can move the puck out of the zone quickly. Someone who keeps his feet moving and won't get called for any lazy penalties.
again saw watch
I'd like to watch this over again to see if what I saw was real.
against game good hockey hunch jersey kevin last played playing sort
We're sort of playing a hunch as much as anything. He's played New Jersey well, and our last good game of hockey was here against them with Kevin in goal, so I don't think that is unreasonable at all.
again allow bottom himself line maybe rules video within
The bottom line is, you've got to do it within the rules of the game, it's that simple. As we have in the past, we'll look at the video again with him and just see where he could have maybe done something different, if anything, and allow him to play himself through it.
against explain game good guys kevin maybe played problem start
Henrik played fine, I have no problem with that at all, but Kevin had a really good game against these guys to start the season. Those are those intangibles that I have the right to use and maybe not even explain if I don't feel like it.
against gate good ground
If you don't come out the gate well you stumble. Then you have to try and make up ground against good teams.
against answer game strong
You want to do better than that. You want to answer the bell. We did have a strong game against New Jersey. But so what? That one's over.
game talked
We talked about it as being a playoff-like game for us.
contingent respect
We just thought we'd show even more respect for our contingent that what we have. It's an international game.
found intense win
We weren't intense enough. There was no real flow. We found a way to win and it wasn't pretty.
kept offensive opposed team trying
We were reactive, as opposed to proactive. We were always trying to respond. In the offensive zone, I thought we were the better team than they were. But off the attack, they were outstanding. They kept getting odd-man rushes.
awful draw form game learn looking manage
We have to draw some conclusions form this game and how to manage the puck. You can learn an awful lot by looking at a loss. This happens.
balance felt last minutes stage
We felt the last 20 minutes could set the stage for the balance of the series.
good hung
We hung in with them. That's not good enough. We don't want to 'hang in' with anybody. We want to win.
