cut hole last nelson
The Nelson was more disappointing because I bogeyed the last hole when I had the cut in hand.
cold days fever playing round second three wet
I had a fever for three days at Riviera and playing in the wet and cold of the second round just did me in there.

I had a backboard to hit it up against, which was nice.
good hit landed maybe slightly touch yards
I had 116 yards and it was slightly downwind. I hit a good shot, maybe just a touch too flat. I thought it would have landed shorter than it did, but it landed pin-high.

If you look at most of the guys, it looks like their peak years are in their 30s. Hopefully, that'll be the case for me. Obviously, there's a lot deeper competition, a lot more work I need to get done. I need to work very hard to accomplish those goals, but ultimately it's winning major championships that I want to do.

I didn't shoot myself out of the tournament by making double, and that's a good thing. We've got a long way to go and I'm playing well, so I just need to keep doing what I'm doing.
ball close couple feet hit
I didn't hit the ball very close and when I did, I did make a couple of putts, but other than that, I was 30, 40 feet just about every hole.

I figured if I could jut get to even par ... if I was lucky, I might be able to get into a playoff. Unfortunately, I made those two bogeys on 16 and 17 and (they) kind of put me out of that equation.
