I had to take baby steps all year,

I had to put the ball on the green (17) and try to make a putt. I had a shot. I had to draw it a little bit and it didn't draw at all.

I had to play a great shot out of the trees and give myself a putt, which I didn't do, ... I tried to hole the chip, and I didn't do that. I had to at least try to make a putt so I could eagle the last hole, and I didn't do that, either.

I had to hit it anywhere inside the bleachers and I'm fine. It didn't matter as long as I could make bogey.

They lost the golf course. It's terrible they lost control of the golf course at our national championship. This is not the way it's supposed to be played. It's a great course, absolutely fantastic. It was great the first two days but today it just got away from them.

It was just one of those weird days where I just didn't have it. Somehow I just tried to piece it together, and I did for most of the day except for the last few holes.

It was a frustrating last three days. I didn't have it, I didn't play particularly well and consequently I was nowhere in contention.

Once I got to the 11th green, I saw D.T. had made birdie at 10 and 11 and drew within one. I told Steve (Williams) that I needed to bury this putt and see if we can get some kind of cushion.

Not only are they raking it up, they are raking it towards the tee, so every ball that goes in there is into the grain, ... You can't control your shot and you can't normally get to the greens. You either hit it down the middle or you bomb it in the gallery over there where it's stomped down.
