I want to see how they do first semester of their senior year. That is huge. We've had guys we really liked, but then we find out mid-semester there's no way they're going to (qualify).
affect bad choice feelings hear reality rest shared spotlight team understand
I want to hear what they think and what feelings they had through this process. They shared some things with the counselors, and I want them to share those with the rest of the team. I want the team to understand this reality that they are now in the spotlight more than ever. One bad choice can affect the rest of their lives.

ability ball fast figured grabbing holding line sure trying
(His ability) is no secret, ... (Georgia) figured that out the other night, holding him, grabbing him by the face-guard, making sure he didn't get off the line of scrimmage. adulthood either good hopeful judgment learn lessons mature men move players situation themselves walk
I'm disappointed that the players have put themselves in a very embarrassing situation and did not use good judgment. I'm just hopeful that lessons have been learned. As these young men move into mature adulthood ... they must learn to either defuse the situation or walk away from it.
ads game keeps newspapers people players sells stuff tv
The game is not about me, ... It's about the players in the game. It's about the game. All this other stuff sells newspapers and sells ads on TV and keeps people interested, but it all comes down to the game.

The guy's a student-athlete. He was being a student.
dad early education hammered question school value
The idea of not going to school in my house? My dad would spank you raw. We had the value of education hammered into us at an early age. There was never any question we were going to college.
