ball clearly fantastic maybe players shape shot top year
(Brand) is clearly one of the top 10 players in the league, maybe the top five. I read early on that he said he is in much better shape this year and that has helped. He has shot the ball well from the perimeter. He is just having a fantastic season.
ball shot stop
We shot the ball well enough to win. We just couldn't stop fouling.
allowed ball defense exception game good handful life looks played running shot start
We had good life from start to finish, and we played very good defense with the exception of a handful of possessions. That allowed us to get out and get our running game going, and get some good looks in transition; and we shot the ball well tonight.
shots
We had our chances. We just couldn't make enough shots at the end.
draw drive emphasis five four free games guys judgment minutes penalty point shoot shot
We have made it a point of emphasis all year. Our guys have to use better judgment about when to shoot (the ball) and when to drive and draw contact. There were some games when we were in the penalty (situation) for four or five minutes and still had not shot a free throw.
decent game seconds shot win
We had a decent shot to win the game with 18 seconds to go.
couple decent game left seconds shot tie tight
We got it tight there a couple times, kind of left our feet, got a little out of control. But having said that, we got a decent look at a 3-point shot to tie the game with 18 seconds to go. We had our chances.
couple early exhibition guys selection shot stopping struggled trouble typical
It was kind of a typical exhibition game. We had a couple of guys who had trouble relaxing. I thought we had some really questionable shot selection and we struggled stopping them early in the game.
blocked defense hang heads open picked shots
We responded particularly well tonight. When things didn't go our way, we didn't go into one of our tremendously long droughts and hang our heads and look defeated. We did the reverse. We picked it up on defense and blocked some shots and got out in the open floor.
almost free question shot silly team
There is no question we have been fouling too much. We have silly fouls, but then I see the other team fouling like that and not being called. (Anthony) shot 21 free throws. He almost doubled our whole team.
ball bit came good played selection shot
We did what we had to do. We came out and played with energy, I thought we had good ball movement. Our shot selection was excellent, and I think they were a little bit off.
aware ben bit periods shots trying work
Now it's a little bit different. Without Ben making some shots during periods of the game, we wouldn't even have had a chance. All I can say is he is aware of it, and he's trying to work on it.
ben bothered dealing faster free given open point shots speed trouble
He's bothered us in all areas. His speed has bothered us, he's made his open shots and we've given him too many free throws. He's always been one of the faster point guards. We've had Ben on him, and we've had trouble dealing with that speed.
ball good passed played player players role settled shot year
He's settled into the role of being one of the first players off the bench. He's shot the ball well for us. He's passed it. He's played very good defense. He's just a very good all-around player and is having a very good year for us.
