defense games gets happen hope kept last points rely struggle won
Our defense kept us in the game. It was reminiscent of the way we won so many games last year. There are always points in the game when you struggle a little offensively. You hope it doesn't come at the end of the game. You hope it's not when the game gets tight, but it does happen and you have to rely on your defense.
defense good physical taken
Our defense hasn't been good enough to win. We haven't been physical enough, and they've taken it to us.
defense needed
Our defense was very good. We needed it.
necessary needed plays smart took
We didn't play as smart as we needed to in some instances. But we put it all out there. ... We took it down to the end. We had our opportunities. We just weren't able to make the big plays when it was necessary to make them.
aggressive ball jump pay slow step tonight
We didn't look right. Right from the jump ball we weren't aggressive defensively. Tonight we were a step slow and they made us pay for it.
active balls basket changed defended fortunate game good late portion tempo turned
We had pretty significant breakdowns for a good portion of the game. So we were fortunate to be in the game and have a chance. We turned it up late and we got really active around the basket and got in there and defended some balls and just kind of changed the tempo that way.
ball clearly fantastic maybe players shape shot top year
(Brand) is clearly one of the top 10 players in the league, maybe the top five. I read early on that he said he is in much better shape this year and that has helped. He has shot the ball well from the perimeter. He is just having a fantastic season.
beginning close though
Even though we had it pretty close at the half, they pretty much outplayed us beginning to end.
few hurt nice played players plays seem though
Even though he was hurt ? he played some, didn't play some ? it was nice to have him around every day. There are few players who seem to see the plays before they actually happen, and he was one of them.
ben difficult ends open played taking took turns
Ben played so well and took the open shots. Sometimes he turns those down and ends up taking a more difficult one.
ben couple hot missed
Ben made shots. He got hot early, missed a couple and got it going again.
ben good moment players starts sudden throwing unique
Ben is one of the most unique players I've seen. It is uncanny how one moment he is out there and not having a good game, then all of a sudden he just starts throwing in shots.
ben consider energy good move player proven reflection score starting
Ben has had a good year. Not starting isn't a reflection of Ben. When considering a lineup move to get some energy out there, you have to consider how that player will respond. Ben has proven he can come off the bench, score and be very productive.
ben good high mike
Ben got the ball, so we went to a high pick-and-roll setup. Mike made a good play.
