enjoy evolved figured fun learned love lucky situation training trust worry
I've just kind of evolved in the way I think. I learned to just enjoy it. I feel really lucky to do what I do, be in the situation I'm in, and I love it. I'm going to have fun out there and trust my training and not worry, because I've figured out the worry doesn't help.
competing last learned since time
I've learned a lot since last time around. You learn a lot about yourself, about competing and training.
gone learn win
It's when you don't win that you learn things about yourself. Everything I have gone through has made me who I am today.
dizzy learn stay
First, you get really dizzy and you learn that you have to center, to stay in one spot.
crushed learned major turn
At the time, I was devastated, crushed that it didn't turn out how I wanted. But it was my first major international event, so I learned a lot from it.
bronze changed enjoying experience focus four last learned oh process sure surprised
I was surprised when I learned I would be for sure getting a bronze and even more surprised when I going to be getting a silver. It was kind of like, oh that's nice. But over the last four years, I changed as a person. My focus is not on the medal. For me it's the experience and the process and enjoying it.
hard people top
In a way it kind of humanizes the sport to see that people can be at the very top of the sport and have hard times.
bad deal edge gives good hard icon life people persevere seen top
In a way it kind of humanizes the sport. She is someone that has been an icon that's always been there, and you have always seen her hard edge and she's always competed and done well. And to see that people can be at the very top of the sport and can also have hard times just humanizes it for other athletes. To know there are good times and there are bad times, and you have to persevere and kind of deal with what life gives you.
checked fact given jumping merely weight
I like the fact they give weight to spins, spirals, footwork, transitions. Something that was merely checked off before and jumping was given all the weight. For me, I'm very appreciative of the new system.
best build holding last prepare realized
The best way I can prepare is to build up and be my best. What I've realized over the last two years is the only thing holding me back from being my best is me.
great work
It was great that she tried, but things don't always work out.
competition free strong time tonight
I'm going to take in tonight. It's a very strong competition. I'm going to take it one day at a time and do the same thing as I did tonight (in the free skate).
feeling last
I'm not feeling any pressure. We're used to being the very last in the spotlight.
I'm really excited. I think it was a gift. I'm very pleased.
