He served as the head football coach at the University of Florida from 2002 to 2004 and the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign from 2005 to 2011. I don't think you can say quarterback is the only place we need to upgrade to be competitive. Tim is going to be improved, and he'll be the first to tell you he needs to. You can only go so fast. To say Tim is the only one who needs to improve is not fair.

I don't think it's done, but we've had some examples where we feel we've made some strides in that regard, ... Winning is a habit. Unfortunately, so is losing. ... We've put ourselves in some situations the last two ballgames that you don't necessarily want to be in, but yet they hung in there, so I've got to believe some of it's getting through.

I wish he wasn't out for the season, but it doesn't bother me that he'll miss our game. He's such a great competitor and such a good person. You hate to see anything like that happen to such a great kid.
