poor power took
We made a poor play on the power play and they took advantage. We could have quit, but we didn't.
across advantage flew looked sluggish took youth
This was when your youth can be to your advantage, and it was for us. (Tampa Bay) flew across the country, too, but we are the ones who should be used to it. They looked sluggish at times, and we took advantage of that.
advantage casual deserve hard mistake rest second silly took worked
We were just way too casual the whole second period. We never worked hard enough to deserve anything the rest of the period. And they took advantage of every silly little mistake we made. We got what we deserved.
early penalties pressure took
They took a lot of penalties early because of the pressure we were applying.
continues matt player raises shot stick took type
That shot he took was a cannon. It was on his stick and into the net, unbelievable. Matt Carle continues to improve, to be the type of player that raises a lot of eyebrows.
bad hole penalties took
We took two bad penalties that put us in the hole there.
bad cost couple penalties took
We took a couple of bad penalties at the end and it cost us big-time.
advantage created looked pressure sluggish took
They looked sluggish at times and we took advantage of that. And a lot of that had to do with the pressure we created at the right times.
control half happy number played scoring took
I'm not happy with the way we played in the first half of the game, but we took control and got a number of scoring opportunities.
effort fault played step took
The effort was incredible. I can't fault it. I feel like we played more than well enough to win, but we didn't. We took a step in the right direction.
happens point puck season stick
We had the puck on our stick and didn't get it out of the zone. And when something like that happens at this point of the season it's inexcusable.
hung job
We hung in there and got the job done.
expected flat period second signal
We expected that in the first period and I thought we responded. I just didn't think that would signal the flat second period we had. We were awful.
focus handling mistakes people puck
We don't want him handling the puck as much as he does, and yet he does and he makes mistakes like he did. His focus has got to be on the puck and not what other people are doing.
