behind caught climb goals hill minutes people points
We've been like umpteen points behind (in the standings) and caught people so two goals down in the first 10 minutes is not that big a hill to climb for us.
caught focus forget games played points
We've played all these (recent) games as if they're must-win games. That being said, you can't get too caught up with the focus being two points that you forget about the process.
chance draw good pace penalties pushed talked wide
We talked if we pushed the pace and cycled them and go wide on the defense, there was a good chance we would draw penalties and we did.
happens point puck season stick
We had the puck on our stick and didn't get it out of the zone. And when something like that happens at this point of the season it's inexcusable.
chance good job people ran scoring shots
We did a good job and had a lot of people involved. I think they only had one scoring chance when we ran into each other on an entry. But other than that we didn't give up any (quality) shots and that's a real positive.
bad game halfway happens points seem team turning
We've had now for us kind of turning points where we could have put the other team down two halfway through the game and we just missed. At some point something bad happens and we don't really seem to respond.
dangerous five goals picked plays power since teams threaten tonight
Tonight was kind of an anomaly. You're not going to threaten teams with five power play goals. Since we picked up Joe, though, we've had one of the most dangerous power plays in the league.
five guys seemed six tonight
Tonight it seemed like we had five or six guys missing.
game keeping length ready sharp talked
We were sharp right from the get-go. We talked about that at length before the game about being ready and keeping it simple.
expect four goals job joe jump score sit three
We can't sit back and expect Joe to score three or four goals and we jump on his back. He has to do his job and we have to do our job.
assume
If they come back and assume that everything's going to be hunky-dory, I think they're mistaken.
giving goals last offense third three
I didn't like the way we were giving up goals in the third period. We need to show more poise, but our offense was there as it has been for the last three games.
either goals happen open seen stepped stop
I didn't like either one of those goals. I've seen this happen before, the floodgates open so I stepped in to try and stop it.
gets goes net tackled
McLaren goes to the net and gets tackled and if that's not interference and this little thing is interference? Give me a break.
