home run three
We give them three after our home run to go up. That was big.
bat chance close components pitching swing three win
Three components of the game, I think, we've done very well for the first 11 games. Pitching has been outstanding ... That's going to give you a chance to win games. Hitting, I still think we can swing the bat better than we have. (That) makes for a lot of close games.
below clubs good normal opponents perennial struggling
I'm not down on the opponents, but most of those opponents were .500 clubs or below .500 clubs. Like even (Arizona), a normal perennial power, is struggling right now because of young players, so I don't know if we were that good when we were 18-0.
atmosphere football line sidelines state
It was like a football atmosphere out there. I thought it was the 50-yard line on the sidelines of an Ole Miss-Mississippi State football game.
counting matter nature
It was a matter of time. It's the nature of the game, on the road, in the Southeastern Conference. I think when we had a 6-3 lead, (players) were counting the 19th victory.
good pick players somebody thinking
Smith-Willis has been good to us, but you know the players are thinking about facilities. Somebody will pick this up, and there are now two options.
five hits innings until
We had the 13 hits in five innings because we didn't have a hit until the 5th inning.
umpires
Umpires are umpires, but he (Smith) was just incompetent.
ourselves week
This week will be a big test. We'll know a lot more about ourselves after this week.
arizona ball caliber credit job needed nice pitchers putting series team win
To win a three-game series from a team of Arizona's caliber is a credit to our players. Arizona has some outstanding pitchers and we did a nice job of putting the ball in play when we needed to.
best flexible foot guys
This is something I probably should have done earlier. We've got guys that are flexible and want to win. We've just got to put our best foot forward.
ball pound start
That was a big inning. Baseball's funny. You pound the ball and nothing happens. Then you put it in play and things start happening.
changed expect speeds
That's what we expect from Justin. He changed his speeds and was effective.
ball coming good hard hit numbers
Seibert pitched well. His numbers were good coming in. We hit a lot of hard balls, just right at them. We put the ball into play, but we just couldn't get anything going.
