looked
He looked like he was on a mission. He wasn't going to give us anything.
awhile brought everyday good kept missed needs rather sit year
He needs to go down and get everyday at-bats rather than sit up here on the bench. He's missed a year-plus of baseball. We brought him up here and kept him up awhile to see where he's at. He's doing pretty good after being out a year of baseball.
missed near spots
He missed his spots early, but he started locating a little better near the end.
might slow
He might be a little slow on some stuff, going right and left, ... Anything routine, he's going to make.
carries few hurt knew nice presence rodriguez searching
Rodriguez knew that if he made a mistake, he was going to get hurt. That was the presence we have been searching for. Having him there with a few other guys, there's a presence there that you have to make some pitches. It carries over and that was nice to see.
beaten guy needs step
Our outfield's been beaten up pretty bad, and Jacque's the one guy that needs to step up. And he's been doing that.
change needed respect tension wish
Sure, there was some tension between myself and a lot of players, but he needed to change. I needed to change. But it doesn't change the respect that I have for the guy. I wish him the best.
ask
Some of them do. I pretty much know the ones that do. I pretty much know the ones that don't. But you can go ask them.
fastball mph poise talking
I don't think we're talking about poise here. I think we're talking about a 97 mph fastball and a curveball from hell.
fans forget love minnesota players
I don't want our young players to forget where this game's been. It's pretty special, to tell you the truth, to have Harmon Killebrew down here. I know the fans come down from Minnesota to see their heroes, and I know they love that.
That does make it a little more interesting.
goes guys pointing pulling rooting
That always goes a long way, guys rooting for each other, pulling for each other, not pointing fingers.
terry throw
Terry doesn't throw out 'very good' very often.
shut unless wants
I won't shut him down unless he wants to be shut down.
