plus super
He did a super job. That'll be a plus for us.
ball classy great hit respect
He didn't play well here. He didn't hit the ball great, he didn't play great defense, but that's not the Bret Boone that we all know. He's a very classy young man. I have a lot of respect for him.
defense die learned offense played separate
He didn't live and die with every play and every at-bat. He kind of learned to take it as it was. Go out and play defense, separate the two and he did very well at that. He played offense and he played defense and he was more confident.
He didn't go after the ball. He didn't even move.
exactly light spring
He didn't exactly light it up in spring training. We didn't know where it was going.
watched
Have you watched us bunt? Does it look like we have it down now?
barely behind pitches types zone
He just didn't make enough pitches today. He was all around the zone but he just missed. He was barely missing, but when you get behind these guys, those types of hitters, that's what happens.
hoping likes lingering sit
He likes to play and he'll play through anything, so when he has to sit out, you know he's hurting. That's a little scary. I'm just hoping it's not a lingering thing.
bit couple days knee sore today
He jammed his knee a bit on the play. He called me over today and said he was a bit sore in his leg, so we'll give him a couple of days off with the off-day tomorrow.
good guys runs score win
This was a good win for us. To come out and score some runs and get a lead, we haven't done that very often. It was fun. The guys got to run the bases.
gotten hurt sure swinging wrist
He hurt his wrist swinging in the world games. We're not for sure where we're at right now. That's part of baseball. He could've gotten hurt here, too.
beat heck last night running tough
He had a heck of a night last night. He was running around pretty good. This turf can beat you up, as we know. It's better than the old turf, but it's still tough on your legs.
against pitchers throwing
He doesn't have any issues? Not with the pitchers I was throwing against them.
kick
He got a kick out of it, ... He said, 'Reinsdorf was squirming.'
