When I step away from the game, our game is in good hands. We have some good, young talented players, everyday guys, and definitely pitchers. He's right there at the top of the list. You feel you pass the baton along to the next generation of guys. I think the fans out here will enjoy this kid for a long time.
I've been in a lot of wonderful playoff games, wonderful World Series games, but never anything like this. This game here was incredible.
I've been around this game long enough to know you're going to be tested. In the course of a ballgame, you're going to have to get out of trouble at least twice,
I can't imagine he would throw at him, otherwise, he would ... get himself thrown out of one of the most important games of his career.
Right now, I'm thinking about winning a game on Friday. I just hope it's going to mean something.
My arm feels good but it's taking longer to get my legs in shape than I thought. I'm going to wait until after the (Classic) games to make that decision.
We're looking at that game square in our eyes right now. That's the most important thing we've got going. So, you know, you didn't want any extra added pressure on Brandon.
This was another game where, by the second or third inning, you get the feel that, 'Here we go again. You want to have good stuff and make good pitches. Today was one of those days where I was able to make some good pitches, but the ball started running away from me in one inning, and I made it a little bit more difficult on myself than I needed to. Overall, it was a battle.
Again, like I said, I went out to play the game of baseball because I love to play it. I did it right. I did it the right way. I worked hard doing it.

Where do you start in a game like this?
That type of game is the best to be a part of. That's why you come back to pitch. You have to work for everything in a game like that. To watch the hitters persevere at the end was tremendous. One guy fed off the next. It ended up turning into something of a laugher, and that game was anything but.
