I'm excited because I want people coming to Memorial City Mall to have a new option for great, family-friendly dining. Roger Clemens' Rocket Sports Grill will be as much for women and children as for the guys. Whether they come for lunch or dinner, I want everyone to relax, have fun and feel comfortable.
We tried to encourage him on many occasions to come out and work with us. He was a big-bodied kid. It was a lot of fun when he started showing up in the mornings, working with us. We had fun and got to know him better.
These are really good games, fun to pitch in and fun to battle in, but I wish they'd come out on our side a little more often.
It was a lot of fun when he started showing up in the mornings working with us, ... That is how things took off once we became teammates.
We came back from so much this year. We came a long way last year, but this is even greater. I'm so proud of Roy, man. This kid is fun to watch, and he did it tonight.
I don't bat an eye at stuff like that. I've had my share of wins. If I worried about the games I should have won, it would probably drive me crazy. It was a fun game to pitch in.
I've been very fortunate. I feel very thankful. I've been able to come home and do some fun things and make it exciting for people here at home
I'm sure we'll probably be an underdog. But we've been that before.
I'm sure they could hide me in the outfield. Why not?
I'm sure proud of the guys. It's been a lot of work for us. How 'bout the kid?
I mean, in games like this, it's as important to focus on making pitches. Today I made pitches, quite a few more pitches than I made the other night,
I mean, I'm 43. I can use that as an excuse, can't I?
I know the throwing part of it was fine, and I appreciate the guys letting me get out there and do this. Once we knew we'd be doing the World Game stuff, we talked to (Major League Baseball and got their approval), and it's a nice situation to get out there and get some work done.
I knew when the skipper looked at me and said, 'Put your things on,' he wasn't kidding. So I went out to the bullpen.
