I fought my way through that inning, came up (to the clubhouse) as quick as I could, to see if there was anything I could do to continue. But the fluid already started to build up in my leg. They gave me some medication, and they're going to treat it, and that's all I can tell you.
Great theater. Whatever you want to call it.
I don't remember a great deal about it,
I don't know that I've seen anything like it,
I came up here and as quick as I could to take my sleeve off and have them check it and see if there was anything I could do so I could continue. The fluid already started to build up in my leg. So they gave me some medication and I'm going to treat it.
I didn't want to come home to wave and tip my cap and just be there,
I'd like to say I haven't seen it before, but I've seen it before. It's hard to even shake your head at it anymore.
I don't know that we've ever even worried about that.
Right now, I don't see myself playing. I'm not going to start the season with anyone. I made my mind up. And when I do shut it down, I'll be walking away with a smile on my face. There will be no regrets, because I feel like I've done it the right way.
Right now, I'm thinking about winning a game on Friday. I just hope it's going to mean something.
She was my strength, ... She was my will.
She was my strength. She's always my will. She gave me so much, ... I'm just very thankful that she's at peace now. She worked so hard, she was really my mother and my father. She played both roles. ... I've lost a little bit of my fire. I don't want to say I lost any of my passion, because I want to pass that on to the kids.
She was always my first phone call to go out and work again, ... When I told her I thought 2000 would be my last year, she just continued to encourage me to go out and do what I love to do.
She's not doing well enough to be here,
