I was pitching 100% at this time of year regardless. It was my job after the guys came out and put the numbers on the board -- threw strikes, not walk anybody, get them back in and swinging the bat a little bit.
I fought my way through that inning, came up (to the clubhouse) as quick as I could, to see if there was anything I could do to continue. But the fluid already started to build up in my leg. They gave me some medication, and they're going to treat it, and that's all I can tell you.
I came up here and as quick as I could to take my sleeve off and have them check it and see if there was anything I could do so I could continue. The fluid already started to build up in my leg. So they gave me some medication and I'm going to treat it.
We came back from so much this year. We came a long way last year, but this is even greater. I'm so proud of Roy, man. This kid is fun to watch, and he did it tonight.
We came back from so much this year, even more than what we did last year. I'm truly happy for so many people here. I'm happy for the city of Houston.
This is exactly why I came off my couch,
Our O-line just came out and wanted to get it done,
He was eager to learn when he came over. We tried to encourage him on many occasions to come out and work with us.
I had a problem in the second inning, and fought my way through that inning, ... I came up here as quick as I could to take my sleeve off and have them check it. ... The fluid already started to build up in my leg.
I came out of the Classic pretty good, a couple of days sooner than we wanted. It was fun. Once we got the uniforms on and got out there and heard the anthems, it was pretty good. You could tell the other clubs were a little further advanced than us.
We tried to encourage him on many occasions to come out and work with us. He was a big-bodied kid. It was a lot of fun when he started showing up in the mornings, working with us. We had fun and got to know him better.
We were like two tired old men walking out of the tunnel, and then we were like two kids having a good time. We were holding each other up.
When I step away from the game, our game is in good hands. We have some good, young talented players, everyday guys, and definitely pitchers. He's right there at the top of the list. You feel you pass the baton along to the next generation of guys. I think the fans out here will enjoy this kid for a long time.
I've never really been nervous at all in my playoff experiences,
