When you join the NFL, you start from scratch. As long as I've been playing - which has been since I was eight years old - the game becomes harder at every level. Little league, high school, college - they're different stages you have to go through, and professional sport is completely different again.
I have faith in him and his play-making ability. Just the fact I know Matt and I know what kind of player he is. He's not going to give up. He's not always going to win the game with his arm.
He's a game breaker just like I am. And he has the ability to do the same thing. You have to respect a guy like him.
We never gave up, and the world didn't think we were going to win this game. It's just great to win a game like this.
He's a playmaker and big time players step it up in big time games and he definitely stood up.
I'm not worried about anything the Texas defense brings to the table. We'll see when we get in the game whether Texas can adjust. . . . If we play like we know how and do everything right we possibly can, there's no chance of us losing.
It's an advantage for us. It's like a home game for us. We don't have to travel, we don't have to do any of that stuff, we don't have to worry about distractions.
These are the type of games we live for, we die for, we love to be in.
That just means that the Texans get the first pick, and that's it. There's no real emotion that played into it. Like I said, I'm not even focused on what's going on with the NFL right now. We need to be worried about what's going on with this game and winning the national championship.
It reminds me of how the Lakers games used to be: You look on our sideline and there are celebrities everywhere.
All the hype is going to be there, everything from outside is going to be there for a great game.
This shows this is a great program. Coach Carroll has brought this program back up to where it used to be. USC was down for a while, but Coach brought us back and today speaks for itself. We're definitely on our way to qualifying as a dynasty.
We just know if we play to the end, we'll find a way to win. We always do.
This year, I haven't had many opportunities. They've sky punted me. They've pinned me on the sidelines. Most of the time, they kick it high and short.
