bat confidence help lamb lift longer morgan plus power quite saying seen starting step stretch swing time
I've been saying for quite some time now that Lamb is going to have to be a big plus for us down this stretch drive, and he is starting to swing the bat like we've seen in the past. It was a big lift tonight. We don't know how much longer Morgan is going to be out, but if he (Lamb) can step up and swing with power like we know he can, I think that will help everybody's confidence a little bit.
absolutely control dominated large stepped took
Boy, he just stepped up large for us and just took control of the ballgame, just absolutely dominated the game.

What you saw tonight is not unusual for Roy. This was a big stage and we've had trouble winning games in this park. He stepped up, and took control, and did a super job.

ballpark best bottom coming history line played step
We're not in the best of situations, obviously, but we feel pretty good. We've got a history of being able to do it. We're coming back to our ballpark where we played pretty well. But bottom line is we need to step up and do it.
chances generate step three tonight took
We need to generate a little more something. Tonight they took it to us. We've got three more chances to do something to them, and we need to step up to do it.
bench best extra guys help sharp step
Extra guys have to be sharp, too. Biggio's our best player, and that's why he's out there. But you still have to have your bench guys sharp enough to help you when you need them to step up and come up with a hit.
ended good great grew hurry kids last matter playing starting stepped team truth year
There were a whole lot of things last year that made me nervous. Starting off last season, I did not think we had a good enough team to get to the playoffs, and the truth of the matter is the kids all stepped up and grew up in a hurry and we ended up playing great ball.
baggy determine good looked step today whether
I thought Baggy looked better today than he has all spring. Each one little step is a good step but it's a process. It's not an event. Today is not going to determine whether he's good or bad.
against ball bat care decent few good job pitches swinging team threw
We just had a lot of Dontrelle Willis tonight, more than I'd care to see, ... Brandon (Backe) threw the ball well. He had a lot of good pitches and only a few mistakes. That was a decent job against a team that is really swinging the bat well.
care
We just had a lot of Dontrelle Willis tonight, more than I'd care to see.
against bottom good job line missed pitches pitching zone
We missed some pitches that we should have hit, and we expanded the (strike) zone sometimes when we probably shouldn't have. But the bottom line is they did a pretty good job of pitching against us.
happening hits parts timely
What's happening is we're getting timely hits and we're doing it from all parts of the lineup.
