ball concerned couple last threw
I was a little concerned about him. I didn't think the last couple of batters he threw the ball like he had been throwing.
chris discuss figure might sit spring willing
I will sit down with him at spring training, and we'll discuss what we might need to do. I know Chris is willing to do anything we want him to do. We'll see what makes sense and figure out a way to get him some at-bats.
best catch fair games hard looking rest seeing shape taking
I was just looking at the rest of the games and seeing how to make it fair for them to be able to catch and be in shape and do the best they can do, too, while taking a good, hard look at Munson.
both ready time
I think they're really good. Probably right on track. So we've got time to get them both ready and we can do that.
He's a little better, but he's not able to play today.
fine great hear himself job naturally pitchers rocket roy winner wonderful
He's a second-time 20-game winner and you don't hear much about it. Roy himself is not a self-promoter. He's very laid-back. He's very comfortable being in the back room. You have great personalities like the Rocket (Roger Clemens) and (Andy) Pettitte, who have done some wonderful things, so I think (the attention) naturally gravitates in their direction. But Roy has done a fine job for us and he's going to go down as one of the great pitchers in this decade.
happened hear roy somebody winner
He's a second-time, 20-game winner and you don't hear much about it. If it happened with somebody else, it would be all over the place, but Roy is not a self-promoter.
ability drive drives expecting hits home hope pop runs
He should give us some pop in the lineup and the ability to drive in some runs. We hope he drives in 100 runs and hits 30 home runs. That's what we're expecting from him.
dead fastball
He's hot. We all know he's a dead fastball hitter.
question shoulder
His shoulder is impaired, there's no question about that from anybody. But definitely, you can make too much of what you see or don't see today.
beyond guy
He's beyond anything you've ever seen, ... This guy is just different.
awkward bit falling instead looks people
He's better than people want to give him credit. What comes into play is he looks a little bit awkward at times. When he stretches he looks like he's falling instead of in balance, but he makes the play.
appreciate created equal guys properly talent
He's better than I thought he was. I'm a (former) player, and I appreciate talent. But, better than that, I appreciate talent that is properly used and properly prepared. Guys like Roger, they're genetically superior. We may all be equal under the law, but we're not all created equal.
beat couple dominated few last people throws
He's dominated a few people the last couple of years. When he throws strikes, he's not going to get beat around too much.
