closer confidence hope playing score
It was a little closer than the score indicates, ... I'm playing with a lot of confidence right now, and I hope I can go a lot further.
closer confidence felt further good hope playing score season
It was a little closer than the score indicates, but I felt it was a good first match. I'm playing with a lot of confidence right now after this season and I hope I can go a lot further in this tournament.
beginner beginning coordinate dizzy feeling felt hands legs second three
I started to feel unwell at the beginning of the second set, after two or three games. I was feeling dizzy like I couldn't coordinate what my legs and what my hands were doing. I felt like a beginner out there.
calm close confidence court few games hit hold lucky means nervous serve stayed thinking third victory winners
There was a lot going on. In the first set, she was not on the court yet, and I was there. So I was really quick. Then I think it was pretty close all the games, and I started to be really nervous thinking too many things. Because it would be my first victory at the Championships and it means so much to me, I got too nervous. I couldn't play anymore. In the third set, I just stayed calm and was so lucky to hold my serve the first few games to get my confidence back and hit some winners and serve well.
anywhere ball bit definitely feeling happy miss normally struggling
I was not very happy with the way I played, but I got through. I'm really struggling a bit because normally here I just could place the ball anywhere I wanted and really not miss too many. So I definitely want to get that feeling back.
feeling serve
I was never really feeling my game. My serve was not really there.
good move
I think just generally, my footwork was really not good and it was uncomfortable to move around the court.
game stay tough
Her game is so dominant. It's very tough to stay with her.
against expected tougher
I expected it to be tougher against her.
definitely deserved faced lucky maybe opponent ready win
I faced an opponent who was just ready for everything I had today. She was maybe lucky in the first set to win it, but she was definitely better over the two sets. She deserved to win, but I made her play.
advantage attention happened lost took
I don't know really what happened to me. She just took advantage and didn't let it go. I just lost my attention a bit. Off the long wait, I don't know. I could really never feel comfortable.
close french good lost mary open played run
I can feel it happening. I (could) tell after I lost in the French Open to Mary Pierce. She had an unbelievable run and I played close. But close is not good enough for me. I want to get to a final.
few home move proud support weeks wish
I wish we could play more weeks here and why not the U.S. Open, move it down to Charleston. They make me feel at home and it's just a very few weeks where you really feel that support and I'm proud of it.
lucky maybe win
She was maybe lucky in the first set, a little bit, to win it. Sometimes it's like that.
