It is time for us to take advantage of however much time we've spent together.
It's almost like a blessing in disguise to get on the road because it's a better challenge and we can get away from all the distractions in Miami.
This is the time of year the enthusiasm should be coming to an all-time high.
This is to see whether the two years, all the drill work and all the hard work have manifested itself into something positive for him. It should be something he should be eager to do.
They're flying. They're sixth in the league in scoring. That wasn't the way they were last year. And they don't let you stay close anymore. You used to be able to stay close to them occasionally but sometimes now they get out there and run. They're a different team this year, but their defense hasn't suffered.
They're a great team. They can score. They can stop. That's why they're who they are.
It was the kind of game I predicted. I told the team this morning that this is how we would have to play to win.
It was an absolute eye-opener. I've seen a lot of great quarters. I don't think I've ever seen one exactly like that where a team hits nine 3s (actually eight). We didn't play well, we didn't play with great desire and we got our heads handed to us for the second game in a row.
It's a day that we moved toward putting together a core that's going to be together for a while,
That's our objective, to win one more game. Then we will change our routine.
That's one of the better, more complete games that we've played in a long time. It's the first time that Shaq, in a couple of weeks, has been running to the rim and we got him early in transition and that's what it was. We have to get back to that game.
That's one of the better games and more complete games we've played in a long time.
That's a big mistake on his part right now. He's too young to be saying that. It's just indicative of the young players today.
A lot of them wanted 15. But they said, versus 15 or 12, they'll take 13. We finally voted to take 13 because we felt we might get 12.
