Shaq did a great job tonight. We have to make sure he's not in foul trouble and constantly look to go to him.
I was concerned about where we'd be, as I'm sure most coaches are coming back (from the All-Star break). We have one game in 10 days, and this was it. We started to play very well at the end of the (first) quarter.
He had an impact on some of the drives they made. I'm sure they kicked it out a lot because of him.
I hope that tonight is kind of the start of an attitude that we'll take here at home, especially at home, where we're not going to have close games or we're going to make sure that we're going to win a lot of games here at home. Because the road is treacherous.
I'm sure that everybody will say that I'm just up here trying to complain, but I don't see how he could ever get to the basket. I don't care if he's 340 pounds. They get locked into such a defensive position that they just hold him. ... Impeding his progress. But he's got to find a way to get around that.
They made a real good run at us, but it's all about holding them off and making sure that they don't get it all back.
When you play in this league, this league will bring you to your knees very quickly if you're not defending and not respecting the game and we almost got caught. Maybe we'll learn a lesson.
