It was a great process and learning experience. I think it speaks volumes about the quality of our program at Fresno State. With the schemes we run and type of young men who come through our program, it's a great testament to our overall program that several NFL teams had a genuine interest.

He is a great candidate for this award and the kind of player who should be associated with the qualities that Ronnie Lott exhibited in college and professional football.

We are very proud of the academic progress we've made. I feel our program is as competitive both academically and athletically as any in the nation. We have gone to seven straight bowl games and our APR score ranks in the top 10 in the nation. That's a great accomplishment by our team and our staff.
