We are very proud of the academic progress we've made. I feel our program is as competitive both academically and athletically as any in the nation. Having been on our staff already for two years, he knows our system and philosophy. Additionally, I know he is going to be a great recruiter for Fresno State.

It was a great process and learning experience. I think it speaks volumes about the quality of our program at Fresno State. With the schemes we run and type of young men who come through our program, it's a great testament to our overall program that several NFL teams had a genuine interest.

Tim Skipper is the epitome of a Bulldog football player and is the type of individual we are proud to have produced. He was obviously a very good football player to start for four seasons. As a student, he was excellent. He was a leader on the field and in the locker room. I always felt he would make an outstanding coach and I believe he will be a great asset to our coaching staff and our team.
