The last couple of days I've seen it in a lot of guys' eyes to the point where you really have a lot of compassion.
I really tried to make this about our team, coming back here to play, I really do feel this was coming home to play a game and it was exciting for me. It was exciting to be back in Tiger Stadium.
I really don't have any idea or comment on what would happen if it got delayed.
I know he's going through due process. Ricky is as good a guy as anyone I've ever coached. I never had a problem with him. I have nothing but the highest regard for him. I hope things work out to have him on our team in the future.
I know I speak for all of his teammates and the entire Dolphin organization in supporting him in any way we can in his future endeavors.
I have total faith, trust and confidence in the guy, ... He's going to be a long-snapper for a long time in this league.
I really felt badly for the players, just about every one of which we recruited,
I have never operated on the assumption that anybody should do anything because they are afraid,
I haven't been pleased with the tackling on the perimeter of our defense for several weeks now. We are either going to get it out of the guys we have or we are going to get somebody who will do it, because that won't be tolerated.
I'm very much convinced of it. I've been with the guy all this time. He's had a significant amount of drug tests. You know, so it depends on how you define that problem. But I'd just like to say we're going to be very supportive of Ricky.
I'm assuming that he will be in a decent place from a physical-conditioning standpoint, and it will take a little while to get him back to where he was. But he was in pretty good condition when this started and I think he's worked hard, and I think it will come back quickly to him.
If Sam can't play, it may make us make some other changes,
It was great that Ronnie Brown got untracked a little bit. We told him we were going to work him today. As the game wore on, it looked like he got a little better. Maybe that'll be a sign for us in the future.
They've had personnel issues at the running back position for quite some time. They are getting those guys back now and I think those guys are playing better and better. I think they're as healthy as they've been all year. I think that's the key to it. They ran the ball effectively down here. Heath Evans was basically playing tailback. I don't think there is anything wrong with their running game; I just think that they haven't had all the players available in all the right spots being healthy this year that can help them develop the running game more quickly, but it's certainly developing nicely now.
