For his first time he did a pretty good job.
Football is football. When guys don't do things that are intentional to hurt somebody, which neither one of those things were, I think it's a little ridiculous. And it happens every week. It's not fair to the players.
It's the trademark of both guys in terms of their endurance and ability to get better as the game goes on. That's something we'd like to continue to utilize in the future if we can.
It's not the kind of football I like to see from our team. We'll work hard to try to get it fixed. There is no excuse for it. We dropped balls, we didn't execute, we didn't play with the kind of urgency and intensity that good teams play with. Everybody needs to decide what kind of team we're going to have.
It's kind of hard to get everybody ready to start.
It's safe to say he's going to be out for, probably, a couple of games, I don't know.
It sort of screwed me up. I couldn't figure out what was going on. They had a quarterback in, four tight ends and a receiver and there was no kicker.
Doesn't that make perfect sense? Isn't it the Dolphins offense? We don't change systems just because we've got one new guy walking in the building. Why would we change it for all the players on offense? We want to build on what we have.
Donnie has done a good enough job, especially in the last game,
The No. 1 thing is we want somebody who is going to manage the game and give us the best opportunity to be successful. We were going to make the decision based on this position based on who we felt would give us the best opportunity to win, and managing the game is a really important part of that.
The offensive line controlled the line of scrimmage much better in this game. When you run the ball for five yards per carry, that's a good job. And we had pretty decent protection for the quarterbacks.
The number-one thing is we want somebody who is going to manage the game and give us the best opportunity to be successful. We were going to make the decision based on this position based on who we felt would give us the best opportunity to win, and managing the game is a really important part of that.
It's difficult to know what 15 players are going to get picked before we pick. This is a time when nobody really ever really tells the truth about what they plan to do. We have to be ready and have every player evaluated.
It's been wonderful. I really do feel like this was coming home to play a game and it was exciting for me even though I didn't say it (earlier). It was exciting to be back in Tiger Stadium and I feel really great that our team did a nice job to make us proud of how they played.
