anybody trust
No. 1, I didn't really have anybody (available) I can trust to bunt,
certain coming ready seven sitting straight takes
Lehr was up seven straight times, ready to come in (for certain situations). Getting up and sitting back down takes more out of you than coming in games. You can't keep doing that.
kids
Look who did the damage. That's where we're at right now. We've got those kids and they're producing.
deceiving looks
Looks are deceiving at times. Sometimes, they're not.

Left-handers don't bother him. He has faced them all his life.

ben defense games healthy last league minor month national pick puts sheets surely won
We didn't have a healthy Ben Sheets and we were last in defense in the National League and still won 81 games last year. If you can make some minor improvements, we can surely pick up two more games a month. Two more games a month puts you in the 90- to 93-win range. Can we pick up two more games a month and do what we did last year? I've got to think that we can.
bothering game since
It's been bothering him every game since (Aug. 18), ... It's something he probably could play through, but that doesn't make any sense at this point. We need him to be what he can be.
