We battled back. This team is young in certain places and we do some dumb things on occasion, but they're really a pretty together group. I was proud of them today.
It would be an understatement to say I'm not happy about this.
It was uncharacteristic of my team to have that many penalties. We had a touchdown called back, a pass to the 1 called back and a punt return called back. That's tough. That's hard to overcome.
It was a nice second half. The team played very, very well, especially in the second half.
The Seattle football fans have probably gone through some stuff in their history, ... and now we want to give our fans a team they can be proud of, where they can be excited about it, talk about it and have hope.
He's the type of runner that, you get 1 (yard), 1, 30, ... You can probably say that about a number of guys in the league. Then you have the guys that (run for) 3, 3, 4, 3, 4, 3.
He's one of those guys that when you prepare for them, you better have a plan to make it a little more difficult for him. Otherwise, he can take over a game by himself.
I don't think Jeremy had both feet on the ground when the ball came out.
I don't know how good we are yet. That sounds odd, I know. But we're still finding out some things about ourselves. We were fortunate.
I don't know. I honestly don't know. That's one of the reasons we're taking this trip. Kathy listens to me and understands me the most, and that's why we're doing it. I'll have a better idea of what's going on after we come back.
Honestly, when Bill and I visit, we don't talk about football as much as we do about our families. He tells me about his three daughters, I tell him about my four daughters. We're both very proud of our daughters. We've both been married to our wives since college. What it shows to me is, even though this business can be difficult on families, we've got strong ones.
Honestly, there was some discussion on our coaching staff as to who really should continue being the starter. That was a real thing that happened. They were kind of different types; Mark was a little more steady early on than Brett. There was something appealing to a coach about that. Clearly, I had a decision to make.
He told me, 'I feel better,' ... He has his conditioning and he doesn't get as winded as he has a little more stamina and strength.
He's worked very hard. He's bought in. He hasn't given up when it seemed a little grim at times in the last couple of years.
