Sometimes I wouldn't give an interview because I didn't have the time or something else was more important. So they come up with a story which I don't think is always true, but they have to sell papers.
I'm not saying I'm something special. I might play a little better tennis than other people, but it is because I was given the chance, and not many people are.
I feel a quarter Indian.
I've been on top longer and I am younger. I'm just better.
Playing (Serena) it always felt like playing a steamroller. No subtlety, no finesse, just raw, loud power. To respect this style of play was always a bit tough for me, but of course I had to, because the rules of tennis dont state that having a beautiful game is required to become No. 1.
What rivalry? I win all the matches.
I was always at peace because of the way my mom treated me.
I have fond memories of Doha and I hope the public here will support me like they did in 2001.

I knew I had to come up with a great game and I did.
I knew (Pin) was not going to overpower me. Sometimes in the windy conditions you have to be very careful to overdo it and you have to work your point out there.
I knew that I had to be right there from the start. I knew I couldn't give her any momentum.
The first three games it was a little chilly out, but after that it got a little better.
I just came out here the other day. I could already feel the atmosphere coming from the previous years. You don't know how good it feels. This surface, this stadium has been so good for me.
