Martin Brodeur
Martin Pierre Brodeuris a Canadian former ice hockey goaltender and the assistant general manager of the St. Louis Blues of the National Hockey League. In his 21-season tenure with the New Jersey Devils, he won three Stanley Cup championships and five Eastern Conference titles in 17 postseason campaigns. It's mind boggling. You're thinking about it and you are shaking your head saying, 'How did we do this?' We don't say there are 11 games left, let's win them all. We needed a lot of help from everybody but we still needed to win 11 games. I think it's amazing.

It's good. You don't want to not play well for a long time. We're going to go on the road and we haven't won a game on the road yet. It's nice to get this win before we leave.

It's definitely a great day for Devils' fans and the organization and Scotty being the first and building some history with the organization. It's well deserved. Seeing what the Rangers are doing all the time, when you look at what our captain did, it's a little more impressive as far as numbers with winning three Stanley Cups and getting to the Finals four times.

We are definitely expected to win but we had to do it the way we did it. The way we did it was the thing everybody was happy about. It was not just skimming a victory out of a shootout or something like that. This was a good effort and it's been a while since we had one like that.

This is going to be such a huge event for my family, my friends. It's going to be such a fun experience. My dad won a bronze in 1956 and now, 50 years later, going back to the same country, I'm going to try and win a medal as well.

The last win is always the toughest win. Whether it's the Rangers or any other team, it's tough to put a team away and we are definitely in good position to do that.
jobs home winning
Our job is to get on the road and win one game now. It's a great position to be in. We were lucky to get home ice [advantage] this year. For some reason, we pulled it off at the end and we took advantage early in the series. Now, it's up to us to do our thing on the road.
excited flow good guys rules shut
The rules are there and there is a lot more flow to the game. If we are able to play this way and not take a lot of penalties, you'll see this more and more from our team. It's not just me. All the guys are excited that we are able to shut down good teams.

It was tough to get going right away and I think you saw that. It (the Italian goal) was good for the fans and they got excited. But we knew it was just a matter of time before we would score.
