Martin Brodeur
Martin Pierre Brodeuris a Canadian former ice hockey goaltender and the assistant general manager of the St. Louis Blues of the National Hockey League. In his 21-season tenure with the New Jersey Devils, he won three Stanley Cup championships and five Eastern Conference titles in 17 postseason campaigns. It's definitely a great day for Devils' fans and the organization and Scotty being the first and building some history with the organization. It's well deserved. Seeing what the Rangers are doing all the time, when you look at what our captain did, it's a little more impressive as far as numbers with winning three Stanley Cups and getting to the Finals four times.

I've played enough in the NHL to know most of these guys. Most of the time I know their tendencies. I've been lucky. I've been fortunate to make some saves and help us win some games.

It's mind boggling. You're thinking about it and you are shaking your head saying, 'How did we do this?' We don't say there are 11 games left, let's win them all. We needed a lot of help from everybody but we still needed to win 11 games. I think it's amazing.

We are definitely expected to win but we had to do it the way we did it. The way we did it was the thing everybody was happy about. It was not just skimming a victory out of a shootout or something like that. This was a good effort and it's been a while since we had one like that.

Our job is to get on the road and win one game now. It's a great position to be in. We were lucky to get home ice [advantage] this year. For some reason, we pulled it off at the end and we took advantage early in the series. Now, it's up to us to do our thing on the road.

The last win is always the toughest win. Whether it's the Rangers or any other team, it's tough to put a team away and we are definitely in good position to do that.

I'm sure it's not where everybody thought we'd be. Hopefully, the suicide game will be good for us. A lot of times it brings out the best in players. We need these players to step up and get us through the next game.

Everybody is pressing a little too much and we're not letting the play come to us. We're trying to make the play before it happens.
