affect age-and-aging bodies days games guys ready seem
When I was their age, I never got tired. Their bodies are used to it, and it doesn't seem to affect them. Two games in two days is tough, but these guys will be ready to go.
game games home lost next number three
This next game is the most important for us for a number of reasons. We have lost three in a row. This is an important home game, and we are only three games out of first place.
closing games good job might
But we just didn't do a good job closing games out. That's disappointing. Part of it is we're young. We're inexperienced. We might tighten up. I'm not sure.
close five four games loss lost shoot
It is disappointing. But we didn't shoot well (Saturday), and it was another close loss for us. We have lost four games by five points.
best conference five game games home next pleased record wins worry
We can't worry about this being our best home record or best conference record, or any of that. I am pleased we are 5-0 and not 0-5, but we just have to worry about the next game because we have 13 more games to play. Five wins doesn't get you into the (NCAA) Tournament. We can't get complacent.
four games given help home last past played three winning
Winning these past two games at home have given us so much confidence. We have really played well, and that will help us as we play three of our last four games on the road.
ball close few games losses lost might road struggled turned
I know we have struggled on the road. But many of those losses were by a few points. We have turned the ball over too much on the road and lost leads. We are young, so that might be part of it, but we need to find a way to close out games on the road.
exciting finish lead needed win
This was an exciting game. We just didn't finish out the game. We had a lead and did not do what we needed to do to win it.
central confidence desperate ended foul huge included key knew losing needed rebounds shots state streak tough
This was a huge confidence booster for us. We ended the three-game losing streak which included two heart-breaking one-point losses. We were desperate for a win. But we also knew Central Connecticut State would be tough mentally. They were. I just think we made some key rebounds and made some foul shots when we needed to.
against chip confidence finish hot picked played playing shoulders team wagner
This young team is playing with a chip on their shoulders because they were picked to finish 10th in the league. But they played with confidence against a hot Wagner team.
both town
This town isn't big enough for both of us.
bigger chose division happy impact knew player saw school understood work
We understood why he chose a bigger Division I school. But that didn't work out, so we are happy to have him. I knew when I first saw him that he would be the kind of player who could be an impact player.
game playing tv
This was a big game for us because they are our in-state rival. It also was a TV game, so who wouldn't be up for playing on TV?
ability adds certainly expected gives good gotten hard hit immediate impact job last opens outside physical playing presence season sharp sitting staying stronger
We expected A.J. to have an immediate impact and he certainly has not disappointed anyone. It's hard sometimes sitting out a year, but he did a good job of playing hard and staying sharp last season during practice. He's gotten stronger over the last year, and A.J. certainly gives us a physical presence on the inside. What really also adds to his effectiveness and opens up opposing defenses is his ability to hit the outside shot.
