Mark Schmidtis an American college basketball coach and the current men's basketball head coach at St. Bonaventure University. He took the job at the start of the 2007–08 season after holding the same position at Robert Morris University. During the 2008–09 season, he led St. Bonaventure to a 15–15 record, and an appearance in the Atlantic 10 postseason tournament, the school's first since 2005. He played really well. He's going to be a terrific player. I'm glad he's on our team. It was a big game and he's a big-time player. When he brings that effort every night and he brings it on a consistent basis, he can be a special player.

The first year is not easy. You have to get acquainted with the players who are there, recruit new players who fit the system, and prepare the team for every game. Plus, you get to make the game-time decisions which affect the team.

I believe he will make an impact. Now, how big an impact? We won't know until he gets here and starts playing. But this kid is talented. He also is a smart player. He will mature and get stronger once he gets here.
