watch
Oh, yeah, I'll watch it when we get back to school. We don't stop.
biggest came difference knew react
McAllister was the biggest difference in the game. You knew Duquesne was going to play with some desperation. They came after us. We didn't react well.
adversity bounce guys handle
Now we'll find out how our guys bounce back -- how they handle adversity.
brian chance dealing finding injuries learn looked opportunity player sure
I have always looked at injuries as an opportunity for another player to have a chance to make a difference. Dealing with injuries is part of coaching. You learn that right away when you take over. I am sure Brian (Nash) is finding out about dealing with injuries, too.
affect age-and-aging bodies days games guys ready seem
When I was their age, I never got tired. Their bodies are used to it, and it doesn't seem to affect them. Two games in two days is tough, but these guys will be ready to go.
exciting finish lead needed win
This was an exciting game. We just didn't finish out the game. We had a lead and did not do what we needed to do to win it.
central confidence desperate ended foul huge included key knew losing needed rebounds shots state streak tough
This was a huge confidence booster for us. We ended the three-game losing streak which included two heart-breaking one-point losses. We were desperate for a win. But we also knew Central Connecticut State would be tough mentally. They were. I just think we made some key rebounds and made some foul shots when we needed to.
game playing tv
This was a big game for us because they are our in-state rival. It also was a TV game, so who wouldn't be up for playing on TV?
against chip confidence finish hot picked played playing shoulders team wagner
This young team is playing with a chip on their shoulders because they were picked to finish 10th in the league. But they played with confidence against a hot Wagner team.
both town
This town isn't big enough for both of us.
call dead last minutes playing start until whatever
We really didn't start playing until the last 15 minutes of the game. I don't know why, but we were dead in the first half. We just didn't have that jump, that step, that whatever you call it. That energy. We didn't come out with any energy.
fourth home
It's really important. It's for fourth place. You always want to try to get into the upper echelon of the league. And it's for a home game.
ball best confidence game good great played plays shot since
Derek played his best game since he's been here. He shot the ball with great confidence. He just was terrific. When he plays like that, we're a good team.
certainly challenged contribute final game half huge kept passed second
Derek certainly kept us in the game in the first half, and A.J. was huge in the second half after I challenged him. Everyone did something to contribute to this victory. In the final seconds, it was gut-check time, and we passed the test.
