Mark Schmidtis an American college basketball coach and the current men's basketball head coach at St. Bonaventure University. He took the job at the start of the 2007–08 season after holding the same position at Robert Morris University. During the 2008–09 season, he led St. Bonaventure to a 15–15 record, and an appearance in the Atlantic 10 postseason tournament, the school's first since 2005. We can't worry about this being our best home record or best conference record, or any of that. I am pleased we are 5-0 and not 0-5, but we just have to worry about the next game because we have 13 more games to play. Five wins doesn't get you into the (NCAA) Tournament. We can't get complacent.

I know we have struggled on the road. But many of those losses were by a few points. We have turned the ball over too much on the road and lost leads. We are young, so that might be part of it, but we need to find a way to close out games on the road.

I knew it was going to be a close game because you have two good undersized teams who try to out-scrap each other. We didn't always play well but we played hard and we made plays when we had to.

It was a game of runs. In essence, FDU had the last one -- and it was way too long. You just can't go dead for 10 minutes.
