beat games good handed hard needed physical played six tough won
It feel so good to get a win; we needed it. It's been a tough six games for us. We played hard and beat a very physical team. The most important thing is we won and it was not handed to us.
game plays
We've done a lot of being right there at the end of the game and not being able to finish. We made the plays when we had to and we hadn't been doing that.
best game last played
We played our best game in our last game. We played tough.
biggest game match opportunity points second
That was game, set, match right there. That part of the game murdered us. The biggest thing is they got second opportunity after second opportunity, turnovers and points off turnovers.
bear early game marshall plays ready teams win
We've done that (jumped to early leads), but then teams bear down on us and that's what Marshall did. We're not ready to win a game like that yet and Marshall made the plays down the stretch.
coached eventually fastest free game might ranked team throws turned won
That's the fastest team I've ever coached against. They might eventually be ranked No. 1. I didn't think the game was won by 17 points; I thought it was closer. I think that if we could have made some free throws that we could have turned the corner.
against allow anybody ball chance cost court faster game onto rebounds stop transition
We have to get our game onto the court and not play into their hands. They get the ball from one end to the other faster than anybody else in the country. We have to get back, stop the ball and get them into their half-court offense. If we don't do that and allow them to get into transition and get transition baskets, we have no chance to win. If we do stop them, that's the key. We have to get the long rebounds which cost us against Houston.
game played
I thought we could have been in this game and could have played with them.
game lost start
We lost the game at the beginning. We got outplayed at the start and could never get back in it.
backwards far five four game hard obviously playing program starting step taking took
We're obviously not there yet. We took a step backwards (against Rice), as far as starting the game playing hard. It all comes back to me. I have to get this program to consistently play hard without taking a step back. We had it going for four or five games, and then we took a step back.
against feeling game guard human satisfied tried won
I had a feeling - and I tried to guard against it after the Tulsa game and all the way up to tip-off - that we were kind of satisfied about where we were. I just think it's human nature. We won a game in a way that we hadn't in a while, and I think with young guys, we relaxed.
bottom deal issues personal rock
The rock bottom is he has personal issues to deal with,
against backs builder continued fight next playing position positive scrap team though tonight
I've wanted to get our team to overachieve all year, even though we've been playing out of position with our backs against the wall, but they did that tonight as they continued to scrap and fight the whole game. Overall, it was a positive team builder for next year.
fourth program tough
I've never had a program - and this is my fourth one - that simulates this. We've had a tough go of it.
