talk win
I'll talk to him, but I don't want to take away from anyone's focus, ... The most important thing is to win tonight.
miserable noticed quickly respond
I know it's not as quickly as he would like. I noticed the other day he was a little miserable that it didn't respond the way he would have liked.
several
I have to make several duplicates of every scorecard.
chance giving guys happy win
I really have one emotion, it's disappointment. I am happy with the way our guys played, and I'm happy with their effort, and giving us a chance to win this game. It didn't happen.
judgments third until week
I probably won't make any judgments until the third week in March.
basically kicked spoken
I kicked it around in my head. It's basically just been a thought in my head. I haven't spoken to him about it.
job sure
I just want him to be himself. Don't try to do too much -- because I'm not going to let you do too much -- because it's my job to make sure that he doesn't get away from what he does and who he is.
defense drive felt hitter involved kept meetings notebook pitcher runs save
I kept a notebook on hitters, because I always concentrated on defense more than offense. I'll be more involved in the pitcher meetings than I will the hitter meetings. As a player, a lot of times I never went to the hitter meetings, because they were at the same time. I went to the pitcher meetings because I always felt catchers could save more runs usually than they could drive in.
learned ton
I learned a ton of things from Joe,
anyone coach wait watch
I just can't wait to watch him work. I can't think of anyone better to coach the infield.
love
I love what I?m doing and I love our club.
base fun hit love maybe player situation time watch youth
I love youth. Youth is fun to watch because you get to see them grow. ... When you see a player for the first time get a base hit in a situation that maybe he hasn't done before, that's pretty exciting.
love people
I love to teach. You want to see people making progress.
ask impressed love player proud
I love the way he's worked. I've been very impressed and proud of the way he's playing. He's communicating with other players. He's done everything you can ask a player to do.
