This was just two good teams going at each other toe-to-toe. It was a great atmosphere, great excitement and great intensity. I thought both teams played extremely hard. I'm very happy for our kids and I'm very proud of them.

We didn't get a lot of second opportunities. A lot of times it was one and done. Against a team like West, that spells trouble. That being said, they did dominate the glass, yet we still had opportunities.

This has been a journey. But the reality of it is, in a state tournament, we faced three teams prior to this and the journey came to an end for them, and unfortunately for us, the journey came to an end (in this game). But it didn't come to an end without a lot of great effort and a lot of tears.

He did a great job of getting to the open spots and his teammates did a great job of getting him the basketball. He was pretty relentless on the glass at times, and I thought his teammates did a good job of finding him where he could get looks. I thought our ball movement as a team was pretty good.

The neatest thing for us is the coaches we get to deal with (that were in this) are all great people. We have relationships with them that go beyond basketball. To have three of the four Tri-Cities teams come in and play is a neat thing. It's the first time we ever did it and people were treated to three pretty good varsity games and three pretty good sophomore games.

We shot the ball well and that makes everything a lot better. There's going to be nights where we don't shoot the ball well, and hopefully, our defensive effort will maintain us.

We did a pretty good job of converting those turnovers into baskets. Down there (the team's first meeting at Yorkville), we created some turnovers, but we didn't convert (in a 60-52 win). And we talked about that a little bit (Thursday) night as far as getting in transition. You work hard to get the ball, so let's value it.
