ball confused decided difficult early game mistakes soft start terrible
We were so confused at the start of the ball game, and made some terrible mistakes defensively and couldn't get into our offense. We decided to play a soft game early and we had a difficult time.
obvious
I don't know what's going on. (But) it's very obvious something's going on.
couple extremely finding level period played playing start weeks
Carlos is playing pretty strong. He should probably start to be about at the level he's playing at now after being out for a long period of time. He's finding a rhythm. He played extremely well tonight. He's played extremely well for a couple weeks now.
coach shoes
If they told me to take my shoes off, I'd coach barefoot,
experience game themselves third
Let them experience a day off in there, and see if they can keep themselves ready. It's important to see if any of them try to take the third game off.
decision drop head knows might miss seen
(McLeod) knows how to compete. He may miss a decision or might miss a shot, but he's always going to compete. He's not going to drop his head and say, 'Can't be done.' I've never seen him do that.
basketball great help hurt job keeping kinds nelson people shots strong
Nelson did a great job keeping us off balance. I thought his play was terrific. He's strong ... he can score, he was able to get people the basketball and help them get the kinds of shots they wanted. That's one of the big things that hurt us.
bearing guys move none people start
None of this has any bearing on who will start the season. I told them that today. I've got to move a lot of people around. I've got to see how different guys play off the bench, see how they play with other people.
ball defensive drove game looked productive reason top
When we started the ball game it looked like a lay-up drill, the way they drove around us and over the top of the basket. For some reason this lineup hasn't been real productive on the defensive end of the floor.
guys hungry job responsibility sure takes team tougher toughness whatever
I had said it would be a big disappointment if the team didn't make the playoffs. I'm not sure that we have enough guys that are hungry enough to want to be in the playoffs. The toughness to be able to get there sometimes doesn't show up. I take responsibility for that. That's my job to make them tougher or whatever it takes for them to be able to play.
ball felt four fourth game gave guys job left minutes needed took win
We gave (Sacramento) everything they needed to get their game going and win the ball game. I took the timeout with four minutes left in the fourth because I felt like the guys that were in just weren't going to get the job done.
anybody finishing job leave open
We've got to do a better job finishing the ballgame. We don't want to leave anybody open on a 3-point shot.
changes freedom gives team
We have a different team than we've had all year. Boozer changes things just being in the game. It gives everyone more freedom with him out there.
compete fight shown stay though
This team, they've shown the willingness to try to fight back and stay in there and compete even though we've been short-handed.
