couple exciting last missed months normally ready season start training trying
I feel great. I'm ready to go. Last year, before the season started, I missed a couple of months just trying to get healthy, so it's been exciting to start from Day 1 like I've normally done, training and working out.

ball bat breaking head hit hold pole randy threw win
I got a gift, he threw me a breaking ball and I just got the bat head to it. I hit it off the pole and Randy made it hold up. This was a big win for us.
fit games good great knows loves needs
He loves the city. He's got that mentality. He knows what he needs to do. He has a good time. But he's pitched some great games at the right time. I think he would fit in well.
anytime guy missing piece team throws
He's a big part of this team offensively. Every guy in this lineup is an All-Star, and anytime you're missing that big a piece of the puzzle, especially the way we've kind of got it going offensively, it kind of throws you off a little bit.
doubt far takes
He's always been our guy. We're going to go as far as he takes us, no doubt about it.
cult gain hero loss miss
He?s going to go out there and with his personality, he?s going to have fun. Definitely, they?re going to miss him. He was a cult hero over there. That was a big loss for them and a big gain for us.
care field good playing speed talked train trying whatever workouts
When they first got down there they were trying to speed him along. I talked to him and he said they had some good workouts . . . I don't care how much you train or whatever you do, you can't simulate being on the field and playing baseball.
early gave lead
He was outstanding. We gave him that early lead and he didn't disappoint.
almost choked stop
He couldn't stop crying. It almost made me cry. He's an unbelievable man. I got pretty choked up.
stop
He couldn't even speak; he couldn't stop crying,
ask gave great matched pitching start zero
He was unbelievable. He gave us the start we needed. (John) Lackey was pitching great and Shawn matched him zero for zero. For his first postseason start, you can't ask for more.
